To announce the launch of Krisp noise suppression on the Discord app, we had to create a video that felt natural to Discord’s loyal and ad-sensitive YouTube audience. We had to get as wacky and entertaining as Discord’s 300 million users, so we created @QuantumCat to help tell the backstories of the background.
After the project kickoff, we spent hours learning the ins and outs of the platform. We talked with gamers in voice channels and chat rooms and got cussed out by 12 year-old kids in Denmark. We studied the ways of the Discord user to learn their voice and developed a wacky tone that appealed to the meme-centric Discord world. 
In the end, our video stood the truest test of the internet: the comment section.
